K-Pop September 2026 Comebacks: LE SSERAFIM, Soyeon & More Are Taking Over

September is shaping up to be another huge month for K-pop, with some of the industry's biggest names preparing to release new music. From highly anticipated group comebacks to long-awaited solo releases, the month is packed with new music — and there is plenty for fans to keep track of.
Soyeon

One of the first major releases of the month comes from i-dle's Soyeon. The rapper, producer and songwriter is making her long-awaited return as a soloist, marking her first solo comeback in more than five years.
Soyeon's previous solo project, Windy, was released in 2021, making this one of the longest gaps between solo releases for a major K-pop artist.
Soyeon is famous for dabbling in different musical genres, with fans never being able to predict her next release, either as a solo artist or with her group i-dle. Fans are eager to find out what she will have created for this comeback.
CHUNG HA

Another major soloist returning at the beginning of the month is CHUNG HA.
The former I.O.I member is releasing the digital single México, following her previous digital single "SAVE ME".
CHUNG HA has built a reputation for some of K-pop's most recognisable solo releases, including "Gotta Go", "Snapping" and "Roller Coaster". Her return comes at an interesting time for K-pop's solo scene, where artists including Jennie and Lisa, both from BLACKPINK, have all demonstrated how successful individual careers can become.
This may be the perfect time for CHUNGHA to have a comeback and solidify her place among the other great K-POP solo artists.
82MAJOR

September also gives fans the opportunity to discover one of the industry's younger boy groups. 82MAJOR are returning with their second single album, HEAT, led by the title track Like Fire.
While the group does not yet have the global profile of some of K-pop's biggest fourth- and fifth-generation acts, releases like this provide an opportunity for newer artists to build momentum.
It has been over 5 months since the last comeback, however the group have been growing in popularity since their last 2 comebacks, so many are intrigued to see what the group will bring next.
LE SSERAFIM

LE SSERAFIM are also among the major groups expected to dominate September's comeback conversation, with their comeback arriving on September 11th.
The group have established themselves as one of the leading girl groups of their generation, with releases such as "ANTIFRAGILE", "UNFORGIVEN" and "EASY" helping them develop a strong international following.
Their comeback coincides with their upcoming tour, with the group embarking to the USA for their tour from September 16th.
There is no shortage of contenders for the title of September's biggest comeback.
With chart battles, music videos, performances and social media trends all likely to follow, the next few weeks could be some of the busiest of the year for K-pop fans. So, which September comeback are you most excited for?
